Words (Written Today): 1034
Words (Total as of Today): 1034
Mood: Tired but Okay
Treat: ...I should probably have one of those, shouldn't I?
First Line (Written Today): We start in darkness, which is the beginning and end of all life.
Last Line (Written Today): He glares down at the god he pulled from the divine realms, made pathetic by mortality and pain. “But if you do not give me what I want, o god, my hand may slip after all.”
Favorite Line (Written Today): warning for discussion of torture
It is not that he has never known pain; the gods are not infallible, and he has been hurt by other gods in battle, when the gods warred many thousands of years ago. But this pain, to him, is nothing like what he has felt before. It is close, and nearly constant. It lingers, and under the dark man’s knife, it reopens afresh and hurts all the more. He knows mortals can die from pain such as this, or else from injuries like the ones he has endured. He wonders, when the man of darkness is not here, what would happen to him if he died under that knife, if the last drop of his divine blood was spilled, and this mortal body that contains him, that he has become, were to fail.
He does not think of this for long, for the answers his mind conjures are not comforting ones.
Other Stuff: So this is all technically TRON fanfic. This is a story idea I got back in June, which can best be summed up as "TRON 1982 But Make It High Fantasy." The two characters here are Flynn (the god) and the MCP (the man of darkness). Basic gist here is that the MCP (now a man called Chesst, because get it, the MCP was a chess program??) is an Evil Emperor who has torn a god from the heavens and is trying to attain godhood himself, and has been torturing Flynn (the god in question) for information on how to do such a thing. It is probably the darkest start to a story I have ever written, but I like how it turned out.
So yeah. I'm aiming for 15k this year with NaNo, and I'm pleased to have gotten a day "ahead" on my first day. Here's hoping I can keep it up!!
