Omg, that sounds both hilarious and mortifying. (That reminds me of the first time I ever flew, and the stupid TSA guy ran my carry-on bag again because he apparently didn't recognize the spare tampon I had stowed in it. *facepalm*)
Second go-round of caramel went... badly. Again. I think the sugar crystallized or something, or maybe it's because I forgot to turn the heat back on immediately after I added the fats, or who knows. Ineffable are the ways of caramel, apparently. I am now making lemon white chocolate ganache instead.
