I feel like I haven't been up to much, and that's sort of true. I'm still crocheting, making stuff for the craft fair, but trying not to overdo it and hurt my wrists and hands. And other things have been going on. I caught up on Steven Universe. My poor zucchini plants had to be laid to rest. I actually read a book for the first time in yonks. Stuff like that.

It is 77 days til the craft fair. I feel like I've barely started making stuff, and I need to get on it if I'm going to have all the stuff I want to have for the event. At the same time, crocheting really takes it out on my wrists (especially doing repetitive stuff like curls for doll hair, etc.), so I have to be careful not to hurt myself. I've been taking painkillers when I need them and using a wrist brace alternately on each wrist, and it seems to be doing the trick. So that's good. I still need to get origami paper ordered, and I definitely need some more yarn as well.

My patio garden is going fairly well? Except the zucchini plants got taken over by squash bugs (Anasa tristis, if anyone cares). The leaves were all dying and the zucchini themselves weren't doing so hot either. I am kind of kicking myself for not realizing what was wrong sooner--I'd seen the squash bug nymphs weeks ago and thought nothing of it--but my parents are telling me not to worry about it. We got at least a dozen good sized zucchini off those plants, and at least next year, I'll know what to look for and hopefully nip any infestation in the bud.

That said, everything else is doing fairly well. The tomatoes are producing like crazy, as is the Anaheim pepper. I need to start making scrambled eggs with peppers in, and hopefully all the green tomatoes we picked (to avoid them being eaten by squirrels, which are now a Thing in our backyard since the neighbors started putting out birdseed) will ripen soon.

Book: I read the first book of Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, Moon Called. Seems like pretty standard urban fantasy stuff, to be honest, and I'm glad there was more of a focus on plot rather than romance, though I can see there being a bit more in the following books. (There's an old flame-new flame rivalry set up at the end of the book, so... yeah.) Still, it was a nice popcorn read if nothing else, and I'm glad to have finished a book for once.

Now I just have several more to get through. I got a bunch out from the library's ebook collection, plus two actual library books that I probably should just return since I haven't actually touched them in weeks despite renewing them twice. Sigh. Anyway.

I also caught up on the new Steven Universe episodes! Spoilers and stuff behind the cut:

Anyway, that's all from me, I guess. Hope everyone reading this is doing well. :)
